Robert Wilharm started collecting coins at the tender age of 15. His first collections consisted of mint varities. Over the years, and combined with his U.S. Army service deployments, he collected an admirable assortment of coins from around the world. In 2005, he decided he needed to liquidate some of his inventory, mainly some of his overstock. He quickly realized local resources were limited, so he opened Irving Coin Shop. As his business grew, so did his reputation for being a expert in the North Texas area. He now has a regular clientele from Dallas and Tarrant counties and sees his clientele base quickly expanding in surrounding counties.
